Beth Linehan - Stories of Self-Acceptance and Love | Children's Book Author

Does Your Child Ever Feel Like They Don't Fit In?

Give them stories that say: "You're not broken. You're not too much. You're exactly who you're meant to be."

I'm Beth Linehan - a mom who couldn't find the books my daughter with Down syndrome needed. So I wrote them. Now, many happy families use these stories to teach self-acceptance, celebrate differences, and remind every child they are enough.

You're Not Alone in This

If you've ever struggled to find the right words when your child asks "Why am I different?" or felt like most books either sugarcoat or over-explain - I get it. I lived it.

❌ Most children's books about differences feel clinical, not warm

❌ Educational resources explain the diagnosis but miss the heart

❌ Generic "everyone is special" books don't address real feelings

❌ Your child needs to see themselves reflected in stories, not lectures

That's exactly why I wrote these books.

Books That Help Kids Embrace Who They Are

Not lectures. Not textbooks. Just warm, honest stories that say "You're enough, exactly as you are."

Beth Linehan with her family

Hi, I'm Beth

When my daughter Teighan was born with Down syndrome, I searched everywhere for books that would help her see herself as whole, as enough, as exactly who she was meant to be.

I found pamphlets. Educational resources. Well-meaning explanations. But nothing that just...loved her for who she is.

So at 2am, after the kids were asleep, I started writing the book I wished existed. That became T-Teighan Says We're Different and That's Ok - now trusted by many happy families.

I'm a mom of 5, an LPN, and now a published author. I don't write from theory - I write from the beautiful, messy reality of raising kids who don't fit into neat boxes.
