I love talking with parents, educators, and kids about empathy, belonging, and celebrating differences. Here are some topics I can speak on:
Real talk about parenting children who don't fit the mold - from diagnosis to daily life, and finding joy in the unexpected journey.
How to help kids (and adults) embrace what makes them different, with practical language and gentle conversation starters.
Simple ways schools, libraries, and communities can make everyone feel like they belong - without overthinking it.
My journey from bedside nursing to writing children's books, and how personal experience has shaped my stories.
Why seeing yourself in stories matters, and how we can do better at showing all kinds of kids they belong.
Navigating the beautiful chaos of bringing two families together, with five kids who each see the world differently.
I tailor every presentation to your audience - whether it's a classroom full of curious kids, a parent workshop, or a conference keynote. Fill out the contact form above and let's make it happen.

Beth Linehan is a children's book author, nurse, and mom to five unique kids. She writes stories about empathy, belonging, and self-acceptance - for children who need to hear "you're not broken" and the adults who love them. Based in Burrillville, Rhode Island.
Beth Linehan is a children's book author and registered nurse who writes stories
about empathy, belonging, and the quiet courage of being yourself. As a mom to
five unique children in a blended family - including kids with Down syndrome,
autism, and ADHD - Beth understands firsthand how hard it can be to find books
that truly represent every kind of kid.
Her debut picture book, T-Teighan Says We're Different and That's OK,
was inspired by her daughter and celebrates differences with warmth and honesty.
Her second book, (title reveal on November 27 - stay tuned!), releases in December 2025.
When she's not writing or nursing, Beth is advocating for inclusive representation
in children's literature, speaking at schools and libraries, and creating resources
for families navigating uniqueness with love. She lives in Burrillville, Rhode Island,
with her husband and their beautifully chaotic crew.
